What is this Project?

The goal of this project to ensure on-reserve addresses are consistent with surrounding Fraser Valley Regional District (FVRD) addresses so emergency vehicles can respond efficiently. The current community addressing has duplication of addresses and does not align with the surrounding off-reserve numbering, making it difficult for non-residents, delivery vehicles, and emergency vehicles, especially when time is of the essence.

In addition to developing an update-to-date inventory of existing addresses, this project will also engage the FVRD to outline a process for assigning new addresses moving forward. Since the FVRD maintains the surrounding off-reserve addresses, engaging the regional district in assigning future addresses will help to ensure addresses are assigned in a manner consistent with the surrounding jurisdictions, as well as ensure the addresses are uploaded to the Provincial 911 system.

Feedback on the addressing and road naming aspects of the project was sought from the community through:

What is the Project’s Expected Timeline?

The project has a completion deadline of March 31, 2025. Key milestones include:

• Confirm Road Names: February 14, 2025
• Assigning of New Addresses: February 28, 2025
• Coordination with FVRD: March 7, 2025
• Map Package Creation: March 21, 2025
• Identify Location and Number of Street Signs: March 2025
